Join our Full Moon Coven and gather with like-minded kin to reflect on the previous moon cycle and set intentions for the new lunar rotation. I am calling in sister-witches who are here to deepen their connection with the cycles, the seasons, the elements and themselves. Those who are ready to reconnect to, unearth and re-birth the witch within. Unpeeling and unpacking the layers of conditioning, the silencing and the shame that pushed us underground. May we rise together, unbound, find our voices and our place by the fire, alongside eachother once again. May we remember who we are.
In the morning, Ellie will guide a gentle walk, sharing stories, folklore, and the quiet wisdom of the trees. She will introduce a range of simple drawing techniques, guiding quick studies and playful exercises to help you loosen up and capture the essence and character of the woodland.
In the afternoon, you will choose a tree to study more deeply, creating a piece that becomes a conversation with its spirit and energy. The day concludes with a calm, reflective circle, where we will share and celebrate our creations.

After the extraordinary popularity of our March creative workshop, we are delighted to bring a new edition celebrating the Vibrancy of Spring with an introduction to Nature Journalling, guided by Sculpture Garden regular Botanical Artist and Teacher Ellie Green.
Ellie and Gallery Curator Vikki will guide you through an area of the Sculpture Garden on a gentle walk, where we'll tune into our surroundings using mindful observation techniques. As the gardens burst to life, Ellie will guide you on techniques to help focus on detail, and exploring simple recording techniques to gather visual information for your Nature Journal.
Returning to the studio, Ellie will teach you how to set up your Nature Journal (provided) - bringing examples of her own journals to inspire you. Exploring your thoughts after the walk, Ellie will guide you on simple steps to inspire and awaken your creativity, leading onto sketching and painting some of the plants / places discovered on the walk.

Calling all sun-seekers this summer - create your own sunshine as you learn to paint stunning Sunflowers in full bloom!
Join Ellie for a soothing and summer inspired 2.5 hour Botanical Painting workshop where she will guide you step by step through the process of creating your own Sunflower painting.
This workshop is packed with beginner-kind watercolour techniques including drawing with the brush, wet on wet watercolour and some fun tips for adding a bit of extra sparkle to your paintings!
I can’t even begin to express how passionate I am about Botanical Mono-printing. It’s been a process that I have been using in my own Art practise and teaching since the dawn of Surrey Art School. Working with vegetable oil based inks and whatever leaves and herbs season at the time, this is an opportunity to create stunning, hand-made prints with exceptional detail that deeply honour the artistry of Mother Nature.
In this Summer inspired workshop we'll delve into the textures and colours of the garden in full bloom. Spending a gentle afternoon drawing on the lawn, we'll begin by learning some loose sketching techniques in pencil. We'll then refine our drawings in fine-liner, adding dotting, line and shadow work to bring our outline sketches to life.
The afternoon will be broken into two workshops, with a break for tea, locally roasted coffee and scrumptious homemade cakes midway through (vegan option available).
